Dr. Day returned to Iowa and the Family Practice Center in July of 2006 as the Residency Program Director/Executive Director. He received his MD from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. After completing his Family Medicine Residency at the University of Illinois- Rockford in 1995, he served as a physician with the United States Air Force at Little Rock AF Base in Arkansas and Offutt AF Base in Nebraska. He taught at the University of Illinois-Peoria Family Practice Residency Program at Methodist Medical Center. He is an Adjunct Clinical Professor for the UI Carver College of Medicine, Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, and has over 20 years experiencing teaching and practicing Family Medicine. He enjoys spending time with his children and grandson, traveling, improving care of patients and teaching resident physicians and medical students.
